Short Bio

I am a researcher with PhD title in the Laboratory for Intelligent Production Systems at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University in Niš. My research interests span from Enterprise Information Systems architecture to Semantic Interoperability of systems and semantic applications in Collaborative Networked Organizations. My current and past experiences also include software architecture, software development, business development, content management and research policy.
Since January, 2012, I am a member of IFAC TC5.3 (IFAC Technical Committee for Enterprise Integration and Networking) committee of the International Federation of Automatic Control. Since August, 2012, I am a member of IFIP (International Federation for Information Processing) TC5 (Information Technology applications) Working Group 5.8 "Enterprise Interoperability".

I am author of 52 research papers and 25 published reports and studies, participant of many national and international projects, invited speaker and active participant in the work of respectable program committees. For more information, check out the full biography.

Associate professor and established researcher (R3) at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Niš, Serbia. H-index-14 author of more than 80 papers in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Enterprise Information Systems, semantic interoperability, Internet of Things (IoT) and other topics, with more than 850 citations. Member of IFAC TC5.3, IFIP TC5 WG 5.8 "Enterprise Interoperability" and SOCOLNET (Society of Collaborative Networks) science advisory bodies. Guest editor of 5 special issues or reviewer for top scientific journals, chair and member of PCs of the respected international conferences.

PI of the first-ranked project in the thematic area of AI, awarded by the Prisma program of the Science Fund of Republic of Serbia, on explainable forecasting of heat demand in District Heating Systems. Participated as a lead, WP lead or contributor in 12 FP6/FP7/H2020 projects, 4 bilateral cooperation projects, 1 COST and 2 Erasmus Plus projects. 
Research lead for UK-based startup ZenPulsar on the project of social media data driven portfolio asset allocation and balancing.
Expert evaluator in Horizon Europe program. Technology mentor of AI startups in Scientific Technology Park, Belgrade. Coordinator of national EURAXESS network and European EURAXESS Startup Hub network for supporting scientific entrepreneurship. Lead assessor in HRS4R process for the European Commission.
Could talk for ages about AI promises and misconceptions, modern liberalism values and the art of music. Obsessed about having the perfect ski carving turns. Addicted to occasionally playing piano with some jazz cats in local clubs. Confident about knowing the difference between good Pinot Noir and average Merlot.
